Converge MSC Staff Positions

Ready to shape the future of the church and help launch new communities of faith? Converge MSC is looking for a passionate, Spanish-speaking leader to champion church planting recruiting, coaching, and empowering planters across our region. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Identify and recruit potential church planting candidates, with a focus on Latino planters
  2. Attend Church Planting Assessment centers
  3. Create coaching relationships with a focus on Latino church planters
  4. The “Up Front” voice of Latino church planting at Converge MSC events
  5. Collaborate with Converge National Church Planting where appropriate
  6. Meet regularly with Church Planting Director and team 
  7. Meet Quarterly and develop the Latino ministry team with Associate Director of Latino Church Strengthening.

Job Description 

The Pastor will serve alongside the elder board to assist in providing the spiritual leadership of the congregation. He will provide the sermon each Sunday morning with an inspiring message that stands true to God’s word. He will provide counsel and care to those in need and help the leadership as they look to impact the community and workplace. He will lead by example. 

About our Church and Community 

Immanuel Baptist is an aging congregation that needs a shepherd who understands the unique needs of this congregation while seeking to reach the community. They have a well maintained facility. They are connected to Converge – a network of churches. Monmouth, Illinois is rural development of 9,000 population surrounded by a farming community with strong values and home to a private liberal arts college since the late 1800’s. Monmouth has a new Airport as well Smithfield foods fresh meats, Cloverleaf cold storage and Wells Pet Foods. 

Monmouth is located within 17 miles of Galesburg, IL – 30 minutes from Burlington Iowa, and 45 Minutes from the Quad Cities. 

Expected Pastoral Qualifications 

  • He evidences the qualities of 1 Timothy 3: 1-7 and Titus 1: 6-9 
  • He possess at minimum a Bible School diploma 
  • He has 10 years of ministerial experience
  • A dynamic communicator of the word of God, with a heart for ministry and preaching the inerrant Word of God. 
  • A servant leader with a growth mindset, humble, and highly relational.

Calvary Community Church is seeking a passionate and dedicated Senior Pastor to lead, nurture, and provide spiritual guidance to our congregation. We are looking for a preacher and leader to inspire our church community to love Jesus more fully, follow Him more closely, and proclaim Him more effectively.  

We are an Elder-led church of approximately 200 members and regular attenders, firmly rooted in the belief of salvation by faith through Christ Jesus alone and in the authority of the Scriptures. General Responsibilities and Job Description 

  • Preaching & Teaching: Deliver engaging, biblically sound sermons and teachings that inspire, challenge, and encourage the congregation to deepen their relationship with Jesus Christ. 
  • Vision and Leadership: Collaborate with the Board of Elders to articulate and implement the church’s mission and growth, providing overall spiritual direction. 
  • Pastoral Care: Provide compassionate support, counseling, and guidance to congregants during times of crisis, grief, and personal challenges. Conduct follow-up on new church visitors and visitation on church sick and elderly when appropriate and conduct services such as funerals and weddings when needed. The Senior Pastor will take an active role in the life and activities of the church.   
  • Discipleship and Mentoring:   The Senior Pastor will mentor and develop future spiritual leaders within the church, fostering a culture of discipleship through one-on-one and group engagement. 
  • Administrative Oversight: Oversee church operations and administration including the Worshiper Leader, Youth Pastor, and Church Admin to align with the church’s mission and values. 
  • Outreach & Evangelism: Lead initiatives to engage the community, promoting outreach & evangelistic efforts. 
  • Community Engagement: Connect with the local community to share Christ’s love. 
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Board of Elders and church staff to coordinate church activities and ensure effective ministry operations.

SUMMARY

Faith Community Church is seeking a part-time (20-30 hours per week) Worship Director. The Worship Director provides pastoral and administrative leadership to the worship ministries of the church by designing, implementing, overseeing, and assessing every aspect of the church’s musical and worship initiatives under the oversight of the senior pastor.

Faith’s worship ministry has a distinctive team-based approach, currently led by a musician, and we desire to grow together in spiritual community, musical skills, and expression of biblical worship.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Meet regularly (currently bi-monthly) with the worship planning team to discuss music, planning, goals, and to provide support to one another as a community of fellow leaders and team members.
  • Strategize for and nurture a church-wide emphasis on worship.
  • Work with the pastoral team to plan all worship services (regularly scheduled and special events).
  • Facilitate the musical portion of worship services.
  • Facilitate all music ministries in the church.
  • Develop a process to regularly identify and deploy new volunteers in the church’s worship ministry.
  • Shepherd, train, manage, develop, and care for the volunteer worship teams.
  • Develop and oversee an annual worship ministry budget and be able to work within that budget.
  • Ensure adequate and efficient communication within worship ministries of the church.
  • Look for ways to inspire non-musical worship experiences for the church body.
  • Oversee the church’s worship tech ministry including Pro Presenter and soundboard.
  • Attend weekly staff meeting (currently evening Tuesday), rehearsals (currently Tuesday evening), Sunday morning services, and retreats.
  • Work with youth and children’s ministry leaders to find worship leaders for age-graded worship experiences within the church.
  • Oversee the maintenance of all musical instruments and related supplies owned by the church.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
  • Two years of experience leading worship in a similar church setting.
  • Demonstrable skill as a vocalist and/or instrumentalist.
  • Broad knowledge of Christian worship music across multiple cultural styles and generational preferences.
  • Proficient in reading music.
  • Experience leading and managing teams.
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree with some formal training in music (and specifically church music) is preferred.
  • A lifestyle congruent with local church leadership (1 Tim. 3:1-13; 2 Tim. 2; Titus 1:5-9).
  • Clear calling to this ministry.
  • Working knowledge of digital soundboards and Pro Presenter preferred.

Position Overview:
We’re looking for a highly motivated and skilled Youth Director at Heritage Church, who will help take point at our portable campus that is launching in the Stony Creek area in September of 2024. We expect this person to be a self-starter, always looking to connect students to each other and to a relationship with Jesus. The ideal candidate must be willing and able to recruit and train volunteers, can grow an attractional student ministry, and has a heart for God. They’ll be outside-in focused, with a desire for reaching those who are far from Jesus!

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Create and run youth ministry programs that are fun and help students grow in their faith
  • Organize and manage various events, gatherings, and social activities that encourage youth to connect with one another
  • Create social media content, emails and other communications to parents, students and volunteers
  • Build strong volunteer teams who are trained and equipped to serve students
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, feedback, and outcomes from events and special projects for evaluation and future improvement

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
